The Reds have kept three clean sheets in their first three games and were on the verge of making it four against Leicester before Allison fluffed his lines.

Sadio Mane opened the scoring for Liverpool in the first game of the weekend and it didn’t take long before Liverpool were controlling the game. It has become something of the norm for the Reds to dominate games and this is reflected by their impressive unbeaten start.

Firmino made it 2-0 in the 45th minute, scoring his first league goal of the season – the goal gave Liverpool control of a game that was touted as the match to end their winning run. Returning for the second half, things changed as Leicester were asking more questions despite missing their star man, Jamie Vardy due to suspension.

The moment Kelechi Iheanacho was brought on to add to the attack for The Foxes, they were threatening Liverpool’s backline and it was Liverpool’s big money keeper who allowed Leicester to get back into the tie.

Liverpool however managed to keep their heads and see the game out, retaining their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
